If you live in the South of the United States and were hoping to spot local celebrity Emma Stone sometime soon, it turns out that you might have lost your chance. That’s because the actress and her husband, David McCary, have just sold their home in Austin, Texas.
Originally listed for a whopping $26.5 million back in May, it seems the pair have finally found a buyer, according to People. Granted, we don’t know if the new owner paid the full listing price or if they got themselves a bit of a deal.
As for what the buyer will now be able to enjoy, “[t]he entire property encompasses 1.24 acres and includes a five-bedroom primary home, a two-bedroom guest house, and a garage with a screening room,” People notes.
“The main home, constructed with Georgia-style masonry, features a stately, classical facade,” they also explain. “Inside, guests will find detailed millwork, marble fireplaces and counters, as well as leaded-glass windows.”
Beyond that, a press release noted that there’s also a “solarium, paneled library, playroom and a screening room/bar.â
Outside, the property boasts an “expertly landscaped lotâ with a cutting garden, fairy garden and a breezeway by the swimming pool.

The Property Is Called The Rockmoor Estate
Deemed The Rockmoor Estate in the Instagram post, the caption continued by saying, “We are proud to share the successful sale of Rockmoor, a distinguished ~1.24 acre Tarrytown estate recently completed after an extensive restoration led by architect Tim Cuppett and builder Koch McIntyre.”

Why Are Emma & Her Husband Moving?
GettyAlthough “[t]he couple spent more than three years renovating the Texas property” that they inititally purchased in 2021 â and still “hope to live in Austin eventually” â Eric Moreland of Moreland Properties/Forbes Global Properties told The Wall Street Journal (via People) that “it doesn’t make sense for them now since their business interests have expanded elsewhere.”
So, if you live in Austin, there’s still a chance that Stone could be your neighbor in the future.
