Twenty-five years after spreading Christmas cheer in Whoville, Jim Carrey and Taylor Momsen reunited in the most heartwarming way. The pair, who starred together in the 2000 holiday classic âHow the Grinch Stole Christmas,â came face-to-face again at the 2025 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony in Los Angeles.

The duo shared smiles and laughs on the red carpet before heading inside to celebrate the eveningâs honorees.
âWe havenât seen each other since âThe Grinch.â Twenty-five!â Momsen told reporters on the carpet, according to KNX News.
Both Carrey and Momsen took part in the ceremony celebrating Soundgardenâs induction. Carrey, who once hosted âSaturday Night Liveâ when the band was a musical guest in 1996, gave a heartfelt tribute to induct the rock icons.
Momsen later joined Brandi Carlile, Pearl Jamâs Mike McCready, and Alice in Chainsâ Jerry Cantrell on stage to perform âRusty Cageâ and âBlack Hole Sun.â Her band, Pretty Reckless, had previously opened for Soundgarden on their final tour before Chris Cornellâs passing in 2017.
Taylor Momsen Reflects on Her Time as Cindy Lou Who
Before their reunion, Taylor Momsen looked back on her âGrinchâ experience during a recent episode of the âCall Her Daddyâ podcast.
âJim Carrey is the Grinch,â she recalled. âI didnât know who Jim was until the premiere, and someone had to point him out to me and go, âThatâs Jim,â and I went, âOh, Jim.ââ
When asked whether Carreyâs transformation into the Grinch ever frightened her, Momsen said it never did. âHe was never scary to me,â she shared.
âTo me, he was always Jim, and he was always in makeup.â
