Jim Carrey opted for a laid-back yet polished look, wearing a black-and-white striped blazer over a graphic T-shirt and tailored dress pants.

The duo shared smiles and laughs on the red carpet before heading inside to celebrate the evening’s honorees.

“We haven’t seen each other since ‘The Grinch.’ Twenty-five!” Momsen told reporters on the carpet, according to KNX News.

Both Carrey and Momsen took part in the ceremony celebrating Soundgarden’s induction. Carrey, who once hosted “Saturday Night Live” when the band was a musical guest in 1996, gave a heartfelt tribute to induct the rock icons.

Momsen later joined Brandi Carlile, Pearl Jam’s Mike McCready, and Alice in Chains’ Jerry Cantrell on stage to perform “Rusty Cage” and “Black Hole Sun.” Her band, Pretty Reckless, had previously opened for Soundgarden on their final tour before Chris Cornell’s passing in 2017.

Taylor Momsen Reflects on Her Time as Cindy Lou Who

Before their reunion, Taylor Momsen looked back on her “Grinch” experience during a recent episode of the “Call Her Daddy” podcast.

“Jim Carrey is the Grinch,” she recalled. “I didn’t know who Jim was until the premiere, and someone had to point him out to me and go, ‘That’s Jim,’ and I went, ‘Oh, Jim.’”

When asked whether Carrey’s transformation into the Grinch ever frightened her, Momsen said it never did. “He was never scary to me,” she shared.

“To me, he was always Jim, and he was always in makeup.”
