As Hollywood continues to mourn the death of Rob Reiner, many are looking back at happier moments.

Back in 1964, Reiner attended Beverly Hills High School and his senior yearbook photo is once again circulating on social media. 

An Instagram account reshared the image.

“Today we honor Rob Reiner. Yes, he was a prolific film director, producer, screenwriter, actor and political activist,” the caption read. “But, he will forever be that neighborhood kid who attended Beverly Hills High and later the theater arts department at UCLA.”

It continued, “Lots of tributes pouring in about his many films that reached heights in many genres. Reiner was a master storyteller. But most of all … he was a mensch.”He grew up surrounded by Hollywood, as his father was the late comedy legend Carl Reiner.

He was frequently on the set of his dad’s show “The Dick Van Dyke Show,” and later got a starring role on the sitcom “All in the Family.” He earned two Emmy’s for the role in the show.

Reiner later went on to become a prolific director, as he had many hits throughout his long career. 

Some of his hits included, “This Is Spinal Tap,” “The Princess Bride, When Harry Met Sally…,” “Stand By Me,” and “A Few Good Men.”


Tributes Continue to Pour In

Ever since the sad news of Reiner’s passing, tributes continue to pour in from friends and fans on social media.

Kate Hudson posted a sweet message about her time she spent wit the iconic director. 

“He was loving and kind. I feel so lucky to have worked with him, know him, laughed with him and shared moments with him and Michele. Ones I will never forget,” she wrote.

Demi Moore expressed her sadness as their children grew up together, and she worked with Reiner on “A Few Good Men.”

“There are no words to truly express the unfathomable devastation of losing Rob and Michelle Reiner,” she heartbreakingly stated. “Our kids grew up together, we worked together, and as our lives intertwined personally and professionally I will always cherish the moments and memories of what we shared.”

Maria Shriver penned a lengthy tribute to her two friends, as she said they “never stopped trying to be really good parents.”

Shriver added that she recently had dinner with the couple. “We had dinner this past week, and they were in the best place in the their lives: loving one another, loving their friends, their family, their country,” she wrote.

Their son, Nick Reiner, was arrested in connection with their deaths, and is being held without bail.
