Spencer Matthews is embarking on a new physical challenge that will be his toughest yet, after he ran 30 marathons in 30 days in the Jordanian desert earlier this year.
The former Made In Chelsea star, 36, raised £500,000 for Global’s Make Some Noise charity over the 1,266-kilometre journey in August and smashed a world record while he was at it.
He did the challenge despite warnings from his My Therapist Ghosted Me star wife Vogue Williams, 39, that it could ‘kill him’.
Now that Spencer’s marathon extravaganza is over – as he was welcomed home by his three kids, Theodore, six, Gigi, four, and Otto, two – he’s now looking to the next, and it’s set to be his most dangerous challenge yet.
The CleanCo founder will be attempting to complete seven full Ironman Triathlons in seven continents in just a month.
Aiming to break another record, the challenge will see Spencer complete a 3.8km swim, 180km bike ride and a full 42.2km marathon in each of the seven continents, finishing in Antarctica. Rather him than us!

Spencer released a video with the announcement, saying: ‘This is without a doubt, the most mentally draining, physically demanding, and simply dangerous challenge I’ve ever undertaken and will push me to my breaking point.’
Speaking to the Daily Mail about his various physical feats, the star said: ‘Running 30 consecutive marathons earlier this year opened my eyes to what the human mind and body is capable of.
‘Despite the gruelling conditions, I fell even more in love with running. As soon as I crossed the finish line, I was itching for the next challenge.
‘This is without doubt ambitious – but what I have discovered is a love of pushing myself, and of achieving what would have previously been unachievable to me.’

Spencer will also be mastering two new sports for the 140.6-mile triathlon, as he’s got limited experience in cycling and swimming. Yikes.
The attempted Guinness World Record will be filmed by a TV crew from production company Whisper, who will capture the endurance challenge in a new documentary series.
He added to the publication: ‘I know that I’ve bitten off a lot here but the countdown starts now and I’m thrilled to be working with the team at Whisper to capture every second of what I hope viewers will find to be an exhilarating journey.’
Speaking about the mission on Chris Evan’s breakfast Virgin Radio show this morning, Spencer said it was going to be ‘pretty rough’ as he discussed the gruelling itinerary.

‘Initially I wanted to start with Antarctica to get it out of the way and then realised it might be a depressing thing not to finish.
‘It’s quite a complicated thing, temperatures are below zero, there’s a swim in 0.2 degree water… We have a lot of work to do, a lot of preparation.’
He will begin in South Africa, before heading to Australia, Europe, North and South America, and ending in Antarctica.
The former reality star is aiming to do all this in under four weeks, but reckons it could be possible in two weeks. This is to beat the current record of a person who completed the challenge in four years.
‘Antarctica is quite like Mount Everest in many ways because the altitude can change,’ Spencer added on the radio.
This comes after Spencer travelled to Mount Everest base camp to recover his brother’s body in his moving documentary Finding Michael.
At 22, in 1999 Michael became the youngest Briton to summit the Himalayan mountain, but never returned home and his body has still not been found.
Speaking to Metro about the emotional journey, Spencer said: ‘I felt like I hadn’t been that close to Mike in over 20 years.
‘This has really helped me move through the pain of his loss. There’s no resentment there anymore; I’ve come to terms with his death completely.
‘Now when I look at photos of him in our house, I smile. It makes me happy to see him instead of feeling angry about it.’
