On Dec. 2, beloved actress Sarah Paulson was honored for her accomplishments in the entertainment industry by receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The “Alls Fair” actress was given a star for her prolific work in television, and shared the momentous moment with her partner actress Holland Taylor, “American Horror Story” producer Ryan Murphy, and several of her former co-stars. But what she didn’t expect was the surprising and hilarious way her co-stars came out to show support.

GettyActress Sarah Paulson received her long-awaited star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Dec. 2, but what she didn’t expect was her former co-stars showing up in hilarious T-shirts proudly sporting her face.
People shared a clip of A-listers Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Aisha Hinds, and Anthony Hemingway posing together for pictures as they donned the same black t-shirt that had a black-and-white photo of Paulson. The outlet captioned the moment, “If your friends donât wear a shirt with your face on it to celebrate you, are they even really your friends?ð”
Paulson’s Walk of Fame ceremony was attended by several Hollywood stars, including her partner Holland Taylor, who presented a very touching speech about her remarkable acting talents.
“She will fearlessly rush to play people who are discredited, pitied, despondent, horrible, mean, twisted, overlooked, and misjudged. The result is she is their defender, their rescuer, their restitution. It turns out her secret skill as an actor is her own humanity,” Taylor shared (via Forbes).
Producer Ryan Murphy, who has worked closely with Paulson in the horror anthology series “American Horror Story,” also spoke about her contributions to the entertainment world and their close relationship.
“Sarah Paulson is a lot of things to me; the greatest thing she is to me is my teacher. She taught me about the power of empowerment, of getting at my own messy, impassioned way, about the joy and necessity of absolute trust,” he shared.
In fact, Paulson’s star lies right next to Murphy’s, a perfect placement for one of his most iconic collaborators.

During her Hollywood Walk of Fame speech, Paulson touched on those who matter most to her, including Taylor, whom she called “my love and greatest champion,” and Murphy, ” the man who changed my life.”
Paulson then reflected on her own journey, sharing that she once hoped to follow a path like Julia Roberts, whom she admired in “Pretty Woman.” But as she grew, she realized Roberts’ charm came from her being unapologetically herself, and Paulson came to embrace that same truth in her life.
“It took me too long to understand that Julia Roberts landed in our hearts because she was so unabashedly herself. I was dreaming of a working journey that mimicked Julia Roberts; I couldn’t see the road. I was already traveling a road uniquely mine,” she shared.
She closed out her speech by sharing that her ultimate goal is to create connections as an actor. “…Because in the chaos of our world, the practice of art feels vital to our survival as a society. I can think of nothing more powerful to answer life’s lonelier moments than to try to make one another feel seen.”
