
The creators of “Stranger Things” have dropped a new teaser, and fans are going nuts deciphering the spoilers!
The new teaser scored more than 4-million views in the first five hours of its release July 16.
Another one-and-a-half million watched it in the first five hours on Instagram.
And no wonder! Fans have waited nearly four years now for a new season.
The season five teaser starts with Steve Harrington in a van turning a wheel. We hear Mike Wheeler’s voice announcing a “burn” about to commence. U.S. military are seen running through the streets of Hawkins, Indiana, and there’s even a demogorgon hunting residents. We see Max in a hospital bed with Lucas crying beside her.
Steve embraces Nancy’s younger brother Mike- does this hint a main character’s death?
The trailer ends with the ominous voice of Vecna saying “FOUND YOU.”
In response to the intense teaser, even the most die-hard “Stranger Things” fans say they are overwhelmed.
On the show’s Instagram account, the teaser generated a host of comments, including, “I am at a loss for words⦠my body is overwhelmed. I canât wait ð«ð«”
Another fan wrote, “max in that hospital bed⦠weâre stressed and streaming ð©” and another commented, “I need a moment or five business days ððð”
Duffer Brothers Promise Season 5 Will Be ‘Worth the Wait’
Show creators the Duffer Brothers aren’t explaining the trailer. But they do have some big promises for fans who have been anxiously awaiting season five of “Stranger Things.” The assure fans it will be worth the wait.
In fact, the Duffer Brothers say theyâve amassed âover 650 hours of footageâ for the season, calling it their âbiggest and most ambitiousâ season yet.
At a Netflix event, Matt Duffer told fans, âSeason 5 will be big and epic. Thereâs no time for a ramp-up. Itâs going to be intense from beginning to end.â
âItâs also going to feel familiar,â said Ross Duffer. âThis season is the biggest itâs ever been in scale, but everyoneâs back together in Hawkins, interacting the same way they were in season 1.â
‘Stranger Things’ New Season Touted as ‘Cinematic Experience’
âStranger Thingsâ show creators the Duffer brothers are promising fans a movie-like experience with each of the eight upcoming episodes that will bring the epic Netflix series to a close.
âThis is our biggest and most ambitious season yet. Itâs like eight blockbuster movies. Itâs pretty, pretty insane.â
But the brothers also say the ending comes with a lot of emotion. âWe think itâs â or hope itâs â our most personal story,â said Matt Duffer.
âIt was super intense and emotional to film â for us and for our actors weâve been with for so long. And weâve been making it together for almost 10 years now,” explained Matt Duffer. “There was a lot of crying. There was so much crying. The show means so much to all of us, and everyone put their hearts and souls into it. And we hope â and believe â that passion is going to translate to the screen.â
‘Stranger Things’ Season 5- What We Know
While the new trailer is full of hints and glimpses of the intense season to come, some fans are saying that so much time has passed that they’ll need to rewatch the first four seasons to get ready for season five’s debut November 26 at 8:00p.m. ET on Netflix.
âStranger Thingsâ season 4Â ended with the monstrous creature Vecna opening rifts between the Upside Down and Hawkins, Indiana.
The fates of two main characters- Eddie Munson and Max- seem to hang in the balance.
Season 5 starts off more than a year later.
The Netflix synopsis reads, ââThe fall of 1987. Hawkins is scarred by the opening of the Rifts, and our heroes are united by a single goal: find and kill Vecna. But he has vanished â his whereabouts and plans unknown. Complicating their mission, the government has placed the town under military quarantine and intensified its hunt for Eleven, forcing her back into hiding. As the anniversary of Willâs disappearance approaches, so does a heavy, familiar dread. The final battle is looming â and with it, a darkness more powerful and more deadly than anything theyâve faced before. To end this nightmare, theyâll need everyone â the full party â standing together, one last time.â

Netflix unveiled the titles of each of the eight episodes for season five. They are:

âStranger Thingsâ will release in three parts this fall and winter.
Volume One with the first four episodes arrives on November 26 at 8:00p.m. ET. Volume 2 with three episodes hits Netflix on Dec. 25 Christmas night, also at 8:00p.m. ET. The final episode will ring in 2026, as it arrives on Dec. 31 at 8:00p.m. ET.
