A Twitch streamer beat 85 bosses in Sekiro, Dark Souls 3, and Elden Ring without dying or using glitches, but it took a very long time.
With the highly anticipated Shadow Of The Erdtree expansion coming out June 20, Elden Ring has hit 25 million units sold and is seeing a resurgence in popularity as fans get ready for a new story.
The resurgence is partly because the expansion is a bit unusual in that fans have to reach a certain point in the base game to access the new map, so fans are making sure they can play the expansion right away.
That won’t be an issue for one fan though, who took things to the next level by running through FromSoftware titles Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, Dark Souls 3, and Elden Ring without dying or using glitches, but it took him a long time.
Twitch streamer Kemist called the challenge ‘Project: No Death,’ and the rules were as simple as they were ambitious: defeat all major bosses in each game without dying.
He would start off with Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, then Dark Souls 3, and finish on Elden Ring. But to make it even harder, if he died he would have to restart the entire challenge, from the first game, no matter how far he had gotten.
Kemist started the challenge on April 26, and it took the streamer a month and a half and 30 attempts to complete it, when he could finally let out a big celebratory scream.
Completing the challenge in 30 attempts is more impressive than it sounds, considering just how difficult these three games are, especially Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and Elden Ring.
Kemist even decided to include Malenia, in the challenge and optional boss and the most challenging one in Elden Ring. She was the final of a total of 85 bosses throughout the run.

Kemist’s heartrate, which he had displayed on screen, reached 160 during the last Malenia fight.
The streamer is no stranger to speedrunning these games either, as he holds third place in the Dark Souls 3 restricted all bosses category on Speedrun.com, fifth place in beating Elden Ring without glitches, and 17th place to finish Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice with no glitches used.
We’ve seen many other creative challenges to beat FromSoftware games in the past, as their uncompromising difficulty caters to the most ambitious gamers.
UK streamer Perrikaryal played Elden Ring using a headset that read her brainwaves, which then controlled the character in the game. Another streamer, Silithur, beat Elden Ring using Morse code.
Kemist’s challenge goes down in history as one of the more impressive ones, but there are likely more to come from eager fans now that Shadow Of The Erdtree is about to launch.
