A Strictly Come Dancing professional has revealed one ballroom mishap fans love to bring up more than any other.
Aljaž Škorjanec has had plenty of highs on the BBC dance show over the years, including winning the Glitterball Trophy with Abbey Clancy in 2013, and being one half of the show’s highest scoring partnership ever with Tasha Ghouri.
However, it’s not his ballroom achievements that get people talking, as he admitted one very embarrassing moment still follows him round.
‘I feel like over the years there have been moments for me on Strictly that I love to remember, for whatever reason it is – dancing, lifts, costumes,’ he said on It Takes Two on Thursday evening.
He added: ‘But the most amount of times that people have stopped me, has been [about] the moment with Alison Hammond when that dress went over my head.’

Aljaž was paired with the This Morning and Great British Bake Off star back in 2014, and 11 years later he’s still regularly reminded of the faux-pas.
The awkward moment happened during the dance-off for Halloween Week as the pair danced to Wuthering Heights by Kate Bush.
At one point, the sleeve of Alison’s flowing dress ended up over her pro partner’s face while they were in the middle of their routine.
The beloved TV star couldn’t stop laughing when they finished the dance, and Aljaž admitted her giggles were totally infectious.
‘Once we finished dancing that dance-off, Alison burst into laughter that lasted about ten minutes. You can’t help but laugh with her,’ he said, ‘Thank you for making me laugh, every single day.’
On this year’s Strictly series, Aljaž was paired with Drag Race UK star La Voix, but they were forced to pull out of the show just before the Blackpool special due to injury.
Initially, it was revealed she would not be performing in Blackpool due to an injury, and, as per the BBC show’s rules, she received a bye to the next week.
However, viewers were later given a devastating update from hosts Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly.
You may have heard, La Voix sustained an injury, meaning that she can’t dance in Blackpool tonight,’ Tess began. ‘And following further advice from our medical team, we can now confirm she has very sadly had to withdraw from the competition.’
La Voix and Aljaž will return with the rest of this year’s celebrities and pros – besides Thomas Skinner – for the grand final this weekend.
Strictly Come Dancing finale airs on BBC One at 7pm on Saturday, December 20.
