Strictly Come Dancing star Wynne Evans is reportedly suing the producers of the BBC show’s live tour for medical negligence.
The former GoCompare star, 53, was in ‘agony’ after he suffered a double fracture and two snapped ligaments in his foot during the production.
It is claimed the Welsh opera singer’s broken foot was wrapped in bandages, but he was told to ‘keep smiling and carry on.’
Evans is now reportedly suing the Strictly live tour’s production company, Phil McIntyre Entertainments, for personal injury, claiming ‘inadequate backstage medical provision.’
He is also seeking a further £11,000 for outstanding fees.

Evans was axed the tour after he was filmed joking about a three-way – or ‘spit roast’ – involving Strictly Live presenter and professional dancer Janette Manrara.

He later issued a public apology and said his language was ‘inappropriate and unacceptable’.
Speaking about Evans’ reported personal injury claim, a source alleged to The Sun: ‘He was basically strapped up, and told to keep smiling and carry on. He was in agony.
‘The following night, he had to pull out of Glasgow then the following day spit-roast-gate kicked off — just as his foot started to swell up.’
‘Wynne’s lawyers told him he had a legitimate injury claim — his physio costs are spiralling and he hasn’t been allowed to work during this time. So he has decided to sue the production company, something that won’t be affecting taxpayers.’

Metro has contacted reps for the BBC, Evans and Phil McIntrye Entertainments for comment.
‘Spit roast gate’ was not the only controversy surrounding Evans’ experience on Strictly last year.
On the show, he was accused of ‘inappropriate behaviour’ after his partner Katya Jones appeared to forcibly remove his hand from her waist, and then reject his offer of a high five.
However, addressing the furore soon after the show aired, Jones said in a video alongside Evans that it was nothing more than a ‘very silly joke’.

In January, Evans announced he was ‘taking time out’ from his public commitments to ‘prioritise’ his wellbeing.
He wrote on Instagram: ‘I am deeply sorry for the pain my inappropriate action have caused, and plan to take this time for self-reflection.
‘Apologies to those I won’t get to see at the remaining performances and I’m grateful to my fellow tour gang for all the amazing support they have given me.’
Last month, it was reported that the BBC’s investigation into Evans’ conduct ‘goes beyond his time at Strictly.’
The source claimed the inquiry, which is being carried out in secret, is a ‘wider BBC matter’ rather than just relating to the ballroom show.
Strictly Come Dancing is available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
