Strictly Come Dancing pro Vito Coppola has hit back at critics who criticised him and his friends on social media.
It comes after Vito, 32, shared a video on Instagram showing himself and his Strictly 2025 partner Ellie Goldstein, 23, at rehearsal and pretending to fart.
While most fans saw the funny side, not everyone was amused by the skit.
Since posting the video, Vito has revealed that one critic contacted Ellie to complain about the ‘grim’ post and demand that they delete it, The Mirror reports.
‘Hey girl, please tell Vito to delete the latest fart video,’ they wrote.

‘It’s not really that funny. He’s supposed to be hot and mysterious – and these type of jokes and skits are grim and don’t present him well at all. Just keep to dancing videos, they’re so cute and fun!’

The person behind the message also accused Vito of ‘spending too much time with Dianne and Joe’as they ‘do fart jokes a lot’.
Vito has since responded to the message in a video he shared on Instagram.
“I don’t really pay attention, but in this case, you touched three important people to me,’ he explained.
‘Dianne and Joe, they are really my friends, they are family to me. So you better watch your mouth, yeah, before you speak of certain people.
‘Second, don’t send this message to Ellie because she’s my little sister and I am very protective. I do care a lot so please … I already advised Ellie to block this profile and whoever is gonna even try to say something like this.’
Vito concluded his message by telling his followers to spread joy and enjoyment instead of hate.
Strictly Come Dancing returns on BBC One on Saturday at 9pm.
