Stamp was a prolific actor, with work in “Far From the Madding Crowd,â âSuperman,â and âQueen of the Desert,â and his career had an impact on many people. This includes his loyal fans, as well as the celebrities who had the opportunity to work with him, and Sarah Douglas was one of those people.
The pair appeared in the iconic 1978 film, âSuperman.â Stamp played the role of villain, General Zod, while Douglas was cast as Ursa. Stamp and Douglas reprised their roles again two years later in the 1980 film, âSuperman II.â
When the news broke of Stampâs death, Douglas posted an old photo of them together on Instagram. In the caption, she shared her thoughts with a beautiful tribute. âSo saddened to learn that Terence has left us,â she began. âHe was beyond gorgeous and talented, and I learnt so very much from him. What a start to my career to have spent so many months in his company.â
She ended her message by sending her love. âMy love and heartfelt condolences to all who cared for him. What a loss.â
