
Liev Schreiber, who was hospitalized in New York City earlier in the week due to a health scare, was recently spotted in public for the first time since this incident occurred.
Photos obtained and shared by TMZ on Nov. 20 showed the actor out and about just days after his hospitalization, and he appeared to be doing well.
Schreiber, who is 58 years old, is known for his portrayal of Ray Donovan from 2013 to 2020, with the show running for seven seasons. He also won a Tony Award in 2005 for Best Featured Actor in a Play for his work in “Glengarry Glen Ross.” He has been nominated for nine Emmy Awards, six Golden Globe Awards, and four Tony Awards.
What Happened To Liev Schreiber?
TMZ reported on Nov. 17 that the actor “had a massive headache Sunday and he called his doctor, who told him to immediately go to a hospital.” Schreiber went to the hospital and was instructed to stay overnight was multiple tests were run.
“Our sources say doctors don’t know the nature of the problem — but we’re told Liev is able to speak and walk without any issues and has the full use of his limbs,” the outlet added.
TMZ later added an update from Schreiber’s representative.
“Out of an abundance of caution, Liev went into the hospital for testing and as of this afternoon, he has been cleared to return to work,” the told the outlet.
Liev Schreiber Had A Medical Scare In 2024
While performing in the Broadway production of “Doubt: A Parable”, Schreiber admitted that he suffered a migraine that led to him having temporary amnesia in a 2024 interview.
âI was in my dressing room and I had a terrible headache,” he said during an appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers. “I thought it was maybe a fast food headache, but it felt a little stronger than that. Iâm walking down the stairs and Iâm thinking, âThis is not normal. I donât feel okay.â”
He then noticed that “something was really wrongâ when he couldn’t remember his co-star Amy Ryan’s name when he saw her backstage.
“I think, âOkay, Iâve had a stroke. This is it,â ” he added. But after getting an MRI, it showed no brain bleed, with his brain looked âperfectly fine.â
He was diagnosed with transient global amnesia, which is “an episode of confusion that comes on suddenly in a person who is otherwise alert,” per the Mayo Clinic.
