Taylor Swift heads on night out with Gigi Hadid after Travis Kelce’s ex’s ‘dig’
Taylor Swift was spotted out to dinner with long-time friend Gigi Hadid in matching autumnal fits as they visited exclusive club Zero Bond in New York City. The night out was exactly a month after Swift’s The Life of A Showgirl release, which broke several records including having the biggest first-week debut in modern music history — breaking Adele’s 10-year hold over the record with her album 25 — and shortly after fans speculated that Travis Kelce’s ex took a swipe at her in a Halloween post on social media. Swift was seen going to her girls’ night out dinner in a black blazer-style coat over what appears to be a pleated mini dress, sandwiched between a snake print bag and snake print boots. According to Taylor Swift Style fashion writer Sarah Chapelle – a blog which tracks what Taylor wears and how her fashion fits into the storytelling that goes along with her discography – Swift was wearing a new-to-her brand in Auter (created by stylist Rob Zangardi) for her Italian wool peacoat, which retails for $1,450. She paired this with snakeskin-style boots (thankfully, Swifties now know this likely isn’t an easter egg for Reputation Taylor’s Version), a matching bag from long-time friend Stella McCartney and a necklace stack from Selim Mouzannar that has been a repeat in recent candids. However, it was her engagement ring that had many talking — with her left hand showing the new sparkler of a ring that boasts a large old mine brilliant cut diamond. The outing comes amid discussion that Travis Kelce’s ex Kayla Nicole, who dated Kelce on-and-off for five years until 2022, shaded Taylor Swift with her recent Halloween costume. The model and sports presenter showed up to Halloween weekend looking beautiful dressed as Toni Braxton circa 2000, which some thought looked similar to Swift’s outfit on The Life of A Showgirl, due to the same silver see-through design. This isn’t the first time Kayla has received backlash and online trolling due to Swift’s relationship with her ex, and she believes most of the trolling comes from ‘miserable’ Swifties. In the past year, Nicole has also been questioned extensively about her dating life with ex Kelce. She has said she is done romancing athletes, and supported the Philadelphia Eagles’ victory at the 2025 Super Bowl over Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs. Similarly, Swift has been accused of making her own jab at Nicole in new track Opalite, a bubbly love-song written to Kelce. With lyrics like: ‘You couldn’t understand it, why you felt alone / You were in it for real, she was in her phone / And you were just a pose.’ Fans think this alludes to Nicole, who Kelce once publicly scolded for constantly being on her phone.
