Taylor Swift’s romance with Travis Kelce was given a nudge in the right direction by Gigi Hadid’s sister Marielle.
The Cruel Summer hitmaker, 35, confirmed her relationship with the Kansas City Chiefs footballer, also 35, in 2023 when she was snapped cheering at one of his games.
Their romance has gone from strength to strength ever since, with Travis even joining Taylor onstage during her record-breaking Eras Tour.
But the power couple might never have been a thing if it wasn’t for the eldest Hadid sister, 44, who did a tarot reading for the pop star shortly before she met her beau.
‘I did pull a card for her because I had seen something where [Travis] had said that he wanted to date her,’ she told Amy Bean and Parvati Shallow on the Nice Girls Don’t Win podcast.
‘So I pulled this card for her, and I don’t exactly remember which deck it was, but I remember that it was in regards to this, and the word “swiftly” was in the reading.’
Marielle said that based on the card, she told Taylor, as well as her sister Gigi, 30, that Taylor and Travis should date, even if it was ‘just for fun.’
‘She said she had never had a tarot card reading before, which I thought was interesting,’ she continued.
‘So I take all responsibility. I think it’s a good match,’ she joked.
She was then asked if she told Taylor that Travis would be good in bed, to which she replied: ‘I did! I was like, “Come on. She deserves it”.’
Before the two met, Travis revealed he had tried to meet Taylor at one of her shows on his New Heights podcast, which he hosts with brother Jason Kelce.
‘I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings,’ he said.
‘If you’re up on Taylor Swift concerts, there are friendship bracelets, and I received a bunch of them being there, but I wanted to give Taylor Swift one with my number on it.’
It comes as the Bad Blood singer was pulled into the ongoing lawsuit between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni.
Blake and Justin’s ongoing legal battle that has been raging since Blake first accused her It Ends With Us co-star of ‘repeated sexual harassment and other disturbing behaviour’ in December, claims he strongle denies.
Justin’s lawyer (Bryan Freedman) has alleged in a letter that Blake’s lawyer threatened to leak private messages between the actress and Taylor if the singer did not release a statement supporting her.
Mike Gottlieb, Blake’s lawyer, has denied the claim, and earlier this month Lewis J Liman, the judge in the case, granted his motion to strike the letter from the docket.
The filing came after Taylor and her lawyers challenged demands from Justin’s lawyers to produce documents or evidence, with team-Taylor claiming the pop star was in no way involved in the events of the case.
It has since been claimed that Taylor and Blake’s friendship has been damaged by the legal battle, as has Blake’s relationship with Gigi.
