In what’s sure to be the biggest wedding news of the summer, if not the decade, music superstar Taylor Swift and NFL superstar Travis Kelce announced their engagement on August 26, 2025.
A joint social media post revealed photos of their engagement, including a close-up photo of the massive diamond ring now on Swift’s left hand. Here’s everything we know about the ring…
Taylor Swift’s Engagement Ring Was Designed by Kindred Lubeck With Travis Kelce
Swift and Kelce adorably captioned their “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 𧨔 and within 30 minutes, the Instagram post had over three million likes.
The photos of the couple’s engagement, in an enchanting garden, included one of Kelce down on one knee, holding on to Swift’s waist as she held his head in her hands.
The third of the five photos featured a close-up of Swift’s ring, which People described as a rectangle Old Mine Brilliant Cut diamond with “antique references.”
According to Page Six, Kelce designed the ring with Kindred Lubeck via Artifex Fine Jewelry. The outlet noted that her watch, also visible in the photo, was a diamond-studded Cartier Santos Demoiselle watch paired with her âTNTâ friendship bracelet by Wove, which was a Christmas gift from Kelce.
Page Six also reported that Swift was wearing a “striped silk Polo Ralph Lauren dress and cognac-colored Louis Vuitton sandals.”
Taylor Swift’s Engagement Ring Could Be Worth Over $1 Million
Kelce spared no expense in finding the perfect ring for his future wife. According to Us Weekly, jewelry expert Nilesh Rakholia estimates it’s worth at $950,000 to $1,270,000.
“The stone itself looks to be easily in the 7â10 carat range,” she told the outlet, “which immediately places it among the most iconic celebrity engagement rings.”
Meanwhile, Laura Taylor, another jewelry expert who specializes in engagement and wedding rings, estimated to Us Weekly that the ring could be up to 12 carats and agreed that it could “easily” be worth $1 million.
Who is Kindred Lubeck, Taylor Swift’s Engagement Ring Designer?

Lubeck is a Florida-bred goldsmith and engraver who followed in the footsteps of her dad, goldsmith Jay Lubeck, after graduating from college with a degree in psychology, per Voyage Jacksonville.
Now based in New York City, Lubeck told the outlet in 2024, “I was working at a law firm for a few months when I had finally had enough, and out of desperation, I swallowed my pride and asked my dad if he would be willing to give me part time work until I found another job.”
When the COVID pandemic hit and families were quarantined, her dad began to teach Lubeck his craft and she was “immediately hooked.”
