“Ted Lasso” isn’t only one of the most popular shows on Apple TV+. It also happens to be one of the most talked-about series in general. The cast and crew are currently in production on season 4 of “Ted Lasso,” and Apple has released a first-look photo, featuring Jason Sudeikis, Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, and Jeremy Swift.Â
Season three of the Emmy Award-winning series premiered on the streaming platform in March of 2023. There was previously uncertainty around a fourth season of the show but Jason Sudeikis confirmed earlier in 2025 that it would move ahead.Â
The “Ted Lasso” Cast Is Back Together For Season Four
The account Film Updates on X recently took to the platform to share the first look at the actors back in action for Season four. The picture includes the previously mentioned main cast members sitting together at what looks to be a diner.
The caption reads, “First look at âTED LASSOâ Season 4. Jason Sudeikis, Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt, and Jeremy Swift are set to return. Now in production.” Notably, Brendan Hunt isn’t featured.
As fans know, season three of “Ted Lasso” ended in such a way that many believed it wouldn’t return for another instalment. However, given that it’s one of the biggest shows on Apple, it’s no surprise that it’s returning for at least one more season with many of the main cast members.
Of course, “Ted Lasso” is also an awards darling for Apple. According to the Television Academy, the show has won a total of 13 Emmy awards. The series premiered in August 2024.
The New Season of the Hit Show Will Be Different
Naturally, much of the information regarding the plot of “Ted Lasso” season four is under wraps. After all, no one likes spoilers. However, according to Deadline, Jason Sudeikis will be coaching a women’s team in the new season.Â
He said in an interview from months ago, “Weâre writing Season 4 right now. Tedâs coaching a womenâs team.” As of the season itself, it has been reported that it will pick up with Ted in Kansas. However, he will head back to the UK fairly early in the season.Â
There will be some cast changes for “Ted Lasso.” Notably, Gus Turner, who played Ted’s son, will be recast for the new season. Additionally, Phil Dunster, who fans know as Jeremy Tart, won’t be returning due to a scheduling conflict.Â
