The 1% Club viewers have declared the final question on the latest episode the ‘easiest ever’.

The ITV game show hosted by Lee Mack follows a group of 100 contestants as they compete for a £100,000 prize, facing questions based on ‘logic and common sense’ rather than general knowledge.

As the quiz progresses, the questions get increasingly harder – starting with ones 90% of the population polled got right, all the way down to 1 per cent.

However, on last weekend’s episode, fans of the show declared the final question – that none of the players answered correctly – was apparently incredibly obvious.

At the end of the show five contestants were left standing and had the chance to take home a share of £10,000, or try their luck at the 1% question.

One of them, a man named Christopher, bowed out and walked away with £2,000 while the others decided to proceed.

Those remaining were then asked: ‘The words below share a specific pattern. Why could VOTING also be part of the group?.’

The words listed were Bandleader, Nickelodeo and Silverback.

However, after one attempted to answer the question and got it wrong, the remaining prize money went unclaimed for all.

Lee then explained that the link between the three was that they contained a metal – including lead, nickel, silver and tin.

Despite the contestants not having any luck, those at home were convinced the question could have been easily answered.

‘That 1% question was easy. How did they not get it? Two of the words started with metals,’ Chris posted on X.

‘It’s so satisfying to get the 1% question on The 1% Club right when the contestants get it wrong,’ Daryl shared.

‘Second week in a row that I’ve got the 1% question right! I thought tonight’s was particularly easy so I’m surprised that none of them got it,’ Laura wrote.

‘That was the easiest 1% question I can remember. Thought it must be wrong as it couldn’t be that easy. Amazed not one of them had a clue,’ Hokusai added.

Last year both Lee and those watching on at home when another ‘obvious’ question left contestants stumped.

On an episode that aired in May, the 40% question managed to see over 30% of the contestants eliminated.

The question was: ‘Which of these would it be impossible to do? (A) Marry your cousin’s cousin (B) Marry your brother’s widow (C) Marry your widow’s sister.’

After revealing how people had been knocked out, Lee declared: ‘‘Wow that is massive. 32 people went out on that one.’

Explaining how C was the correct answer, he said it was because ‘you would not be able to marry your widow’s sister as you would already be dead’.

The 1% Club is streaming on ITVX.
