The Bear Season 4: Everything We Know So Far

The stars of The Bear

“The Bear” season 3 ended on a big cliffhanger last summer. Ever since, fans have been waiting patiently to find out the fate of the titular restaurant and crew. They will get answers soon because Hulu has announced a premiere date for season 4. Here’s everything we know so far about the upcoming season of “The Bear.”

Fan-Favorite Cast Members Are Returning for ‘The Bear’ Season 4

Of course, Jeremy Allen White will be back in season 4 as head chef Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto, along with Ayo Edebiri as Sydney. Joining them in the core cast is Ebon Moss-Bachrach returning as Richie, Liza Colón-Zayas as Tina, Lionel Boyce as Marcus, and Matty Matheson as Fak.

Fans will also see Abby Elliott return as Natalie. And, reprising her role as Donna, the Berzatto family matriarch, is Jamie Lee Curtis. Oliver Platt and Molly Gordon will also return in season 4 in recurring roles. The series creators have yet to share if there will be any new cast members or if there will be any surprise celebrity cameos.

When Does Season 4 Premiere?

Season 4 of “The Bear” will feature 10 episodes, and they will all drop on Hulu on the official premiere date — Wednesday, June 25. The streamer has not yet shared a trailer or a sneak peek of any kind. But there was an FX promo that aired during the Oscars that did include a bit of footage from “The Bear” season 4. That’s how we know Curtis will be back as Donna.

Cast members have remained pretty quiet about what’s coming in season 4. But Edebiri did tell Deadline in April that she and Boyce co-wrote an episode together. She didn’t reveal any details about the episode, but we do know that her character has some tough decisions to make after receiving an offer in season 3 to work at a competing fine-dining restaurant.

Edebiri made her directorial debut last year when she directed Season 3, Episode 6 “Napkins.” She is the only cast member to direct and write an episode of “The Bear.”

What Will the New Season of ‘The Bear’ Be About?

Season 3 of “The Bear” ended with the restaurant’s future hanging in the balance, as Carmy read a bad review from the Chicago Tribune. The critique could impact the restaurant’s funding, and fans will likely find out exactly what that review said when season 4 begins. At the same time, Sydney doubted her partnership with the intense and unrelenting Carmy while questioning her role in the kitchen.

According to the logline for season 4 of the Emmy Award-winning series, “With new challenges around every corner, the team must adapt, adjust, and overcome. This season, the pursuit of excellence isn’t just about getting better – it’s about deciding what’s worth holding on to.”

Season 4 of “The Bear” drops on Hulu June 25th. The first three seasons are now streaming on the platform.
