Called “The Conjuring: Last Rites,” the film promises the same chills and thrills as the previous offerings. Now, reviews for the film from both critics and social media users are out.

Social Media has Mostly Positive Things to Say About ‘The Conjuring: Last Rights’
The official review embargo for “The Conjuring: Last Rights” has been lifted. So far, social media seems to enjoy the film while also admitting that it’s not the best of the “Conjuring” movies. Heaven of Horror wrote an early review for the film.
They said, “THE CONJURING: LAST RITES is the final chapter in James Wanâs franchise about Ed and Lorraine Warren. And it ends on a high (and quite nostalgic) note, so youâll want to watch it.”
The CBO channel said, “In cinematic universes, no oneâs ever truly gone. However, âThe Conjuring: Last Ritesâ genuinely feels like a conclusion to the story weâve followed for years with Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson.”
However, Tom Chatalbash reviewed the film on X, writing, “THE CONJURING: LAST RITES is not the thrilling finale I hoped it would be. Wilson and Farmiga continue to turn in stellar work and be the beating heart of these movies, but this conclusion simply lacks the searing thrills and chills it needs to be memorable. Full review tmrw!”
Goldwin Reviews said, “Thank you for sharing this beautiful universe with us. Thereâs no other way to end it but this one. A family who, despite being scared, never lets horror consume them. The best legacy any horror film can ever give.”

As many moviegoers know, horror movies donât fare as well as other films when it comes to official reviews. This is also true for the âConjuringâ movies. Regarding âThe Conjuring: Last Rites,â the film has debuted on Rotten Tomatoes with a 55 percent rating. This is based on 22 reviews.Â
The first Rotten Tomatoes review for “The Conjuring: Last Rites” is a positive one. Karina Adelgaard wrote, “It offers a story that feels back on track. And itâs always good to end on a high note. In other words, even if you werenât too crazy about the previous movie in the franchise, youâll want to watch this fourth and final chapter.” They gave the film four out of five stars.
So far, the film has strong reviews on Letterboxd. One critic said, “Got to see this early and WOW, this was tremendous. Became my favourite movie by the end of it, ticked every box for me: shock factor, jump scares, and just learning more about the Warrens and their family just make this movie for me.Â
