A Capcom juggernaut is at its lowest price yet after only a few months, as a new update is accidentally leaked by Sony.
This year has largely been defined by unexpected surprises, including indie titles Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and Blue Prince, but several AAA blockbusters have also made a significant splash.
The biggest of these, at least in terms of sales, is Monster Hunter Wilds. Capcom’s elaborate action role-player has already surpassed 10 million units sold worldwide after only a few months, and looks set to rival the publisher’s best-selling title ever, in Monster Hunter: World.
If you haven’t yet tapped into the joys of slaying wondrous beasts for a fancy pair of leggings, Monster Hunter Wilds has received a significant discount on Amazon.
At the time of writing, Monster Hunster Wilds on PlayStation 5 is 42% off at £37.85. If you’re on Xbox Series X, it’s an even better deal with 55% off at £29.10.
It’s unclear how long the deal will last for, but it’s the cheapest offer you can find for the console version from a reputable retailer. Plus, if you’re new to Monster Hunter, this is arguably the best entry for learning the ropes – as long as you don’t mind fumbling through some confusing menus.

Capcom is set to showcase the next update for Monster Hunter Wilds in a presentation on Thursday, June 26 at 11pm BST. However, as noticed by Reddit users, Sony has seemingly leaked the contents of Title Update 2 ahead of time, via a listing on the PlayStation website.
According to the now-deleted listing, the update will add two monsters from previous titles; Lagiacrus from Monster Hunter 3 and another ‘fan favourite’, which is expected to be Seregios from Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate – based on prior datamines.
The update, which is set to launch on Monday, June 30, will also include a new Arch-Tempered Uth Duna monster, layered weapons and events.
Aside from Monster Hunter Wilds, Capcom’s Spotlight showcase is also set to show off more from Resident Evil Requiem, Pragmata, and Street Fighter 6.
