Mikayla Matthews just added another little one to her growing family. The “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” star and her husband Jace Terry welcomed their fourth child—a baby girl—on July 17, and waited a few days before sharing the sweet news with fans. Matthews, 25, posted a series of photos from the hospital and called her daughter “perfect” in a heartfelt caption. While she hasn’t shared the baby’s name yet, it’s clear she’s soaking up every moment of newborn bliss.

The announcement comes just weeks after Matthews’ co-star Jennifer Affleck also welcomed a baby girl of her own, marking a double baby boom for the Hulu reality series.

Mikayla Matthews Says Her Baby Girl Is ‘Everything We Ever Wanted’

On July 20, Mikayla Matthews took to Instagram to share that she had given birth three days earlier.

“7•17•25,” she wrote alongside a carousel of hospital photos. “our perfect baby girl is here.”

She followed up on Instagram Stories with another update:

“Can’t wait to share all the details with you guys. We have just been so in love over here with our baby girl. She’s everything we ever wanted and I’m just so happy.”

This is the fourth child for Matthews and her husband, who are also parents to daughters Tommie (3) and Haven (5), and son Beckham (7).

Matthews first announced her pregnancy in February, calling it the “next step on my healing journey.” At the time, she told People that the pregnancy came as a complete shock due to her ongoing health issues and irregular cycles.

“With my health stuff, I didn’t think I could get pregnant right now,” she explained.

“My husband was with me when I took the test. He never really has much of a reaction to anything, but we were both pretty in shock. Then it set in and we got really excited. We’re definitely excited—nervous about my health and possibly passing anything on—but excited.”

Earlier in July, Jen Affleck shared her own exciting baby update. The “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” star and husband Zac Affleck welcomed their third child, a daughter named Penelope Phyliss Affleck.

“Baby Penelope is here 🤍 & she is perfect,” she wrote in a joint Instagram post on July 2.

Affleck shared that she delivered “unmedicated,” calling it “truly the most painful but empowering experience of my life.”

She and Zac are also parents to Lucas and Nora. When Jennifer first revealed she was expecting again, some critics claimed she had “wasted her twenties.” She hit back on Instagram, saying she “wouldn’t trade it for anything.”
