On October 9, it was revealed that Briney would be joining the cast of “Hacks.” This will be Briney’s first role following the third and final season of “The Summer I Turned Pretty.” After his portrayal of love interest Conrad Fisher was met with praise, especially the nuanced performance he put on this last season, fans of the actor are excited to see how he decides to take on this new character.
Briney will be reprising his role in the forthcoming “The Summer I Turned Pretty” movie, which will wrap up the beloved series.
Who Will Briney Be Playing on “Hacks”?

Emmy-winning HBO Max series âHacksâ is a dark comedy that revolves around a pair of women whose love for comedy spans across their generational gap. Legendary stand-up comedian Deborah Vance (Jean Smart) and Ava Daniels (Hannah Einbinder), a young, entitled comedy writer, navigate their complex relationship with one another as well as the entertainment industry.
HBO Max has yet to share who Briney will be playing in Season 5, but a behind-the-scenes photo was released on October 9. This photo shows Briney’s character dressed in a mostly unbuttoned silk shirt to show off his character’s tattoos. Vance is sporting a similarly ornate shirt and matching grin with Briney’s arm thrown around her waist.
Season 5 of âHacksâ is currently in production and will premiere in 2026.
