Sony has announced that a number of horror games will be hitting PlayStation Plus this month, alongside a classic for Premium subscribers.
The spooky spirit is in full swing at PlayStation with Alan Wake 2 leading October’s PS Plus offerings, but a new wave of horror is set to arrive later this month.
As previously leaked by insider billbil-kun, and confirmed by Sony, PS Plus Extra subscribers will soon get access to Bloober Team’s excellent remake of Silent Hill 2, last year’s pointless remake of Until Dawn, vampire survival title V Rising, and horror puzzle adventure Poppy Playtime: Chapter 1.
All four of these games (plus As Dusk Falls, Yakuza: Like A Dragon, and Wizard With A Gun) will be available to PS Plus Extra subscribers from October 21, 2025. The Extra tier, priced at £10.99 per month, is the middle tier above the £6.99 Essential subscription.
It’s a pretty strong slate of new additions, especially if you haven’t yet tried Silent Hill 2 or Until Dawn. The latter was originally released in 2015, and while this remake is fairly redundant, it is still one of the best interactive narrative games out there.
V Rising, meanwhile, is a decent vampire role-playing sim. There’s even some Castlevania DLC too, if that’s your sort of thing, but you’ll have to buy that separately.
Outside of the Halloween vibe (yet no dissimilar to Until Dawn) is As Dusk Falls, a narrative adventure about two families whose paths collide in the Arizona desert in 1998. It’s created by developer Interior Night, which is made up of former developers from Heavy Rain studio Quantic Dream.

As for others on the line-up, Yakuza: Like A Dragon is one of the best in the series, while Wizard With A Gun is a solid twin-stick shooter.
If you’re subscribed to the Premium tier, at £13.49 per month, you’ll get access to Tekken 3 as well, from October 21.
Tekken 3 on the original PlayStation is considered one of the greatest fighting games of all time, or at least it was in 1997 when it was first released.
At the moment, PlayStation Plus subscribers on the Essential tier can grab Alan Wake 2, Cocoon, and Goat Simulator 3 until November 3, 2025.
If you’re looking for more Halloween inspiration though, why not try some throwback titles from the 1990s or even a tabletop board game.
