Tina Turner’s Son Tragically Passes Away: Tributes Pour in
Tina Turner and Ike Turner’s son, Ike Turner Jr., has tragically passed away at the age of 67, TMZ reports.
Tina’s niece told the outlet that “Ike Jr. died Saturday at a Los Angeles hospital from kidney failure. She says he’d battled severe heart issues for years, and we’re told his health had been declining for some time. He also recently suffered a stroke in early September.”

Ike Turner Jr. was born in 1958 to Ike Sr. and Lorraine Taylor, but was adopted by Tina early in his life. Following Tina’s split from Ike Sr., Ike Jr. served as her sound engineer for a short period, however, in a 2018 interview, he revealed that his father, who was known to be abusive to Tina during their relationship, physically hurt him when he learned that she was working with his mother following the divorce.
After working together for a bit, their relationship declined majorly, with Ike revealing he didn’t talk to his mother anymore.
“Tina raised me from the age of two. Sheâs the only mother Iâve ever known,” Ike Jr. told the Daily Mail in a 2018 interview. “But I havenât talked to my mother since God knows when â probably around 2000. I donât think any of my brothers have talked to her in a long time either.”
Ike is one of Tina’s four children. She welcomed her first son, Raymond Craig in 1958 with Kings of Rhythm saxophonist Raymond Hill. Craig eventually was adopted by Tina’s first husband Ike Turner Sr., similar to what Tina did with Ike Jr. and Michael, as the two were from Ikr Sr.’s previous relationship with Lorraine Taylor. Her and Ike Sr. welcomed their first and only child together in 1960, named Ronnie Turner.

Many fans left kind messages on TMZ’s Instagram post, reporting the news of Ike’s passing.
“RIP ðï¸,” one person wrote.
“Most of Tina’s kids didn’t live long enough…may their souls rest in peace,” another person commented.
