Tom Brady gave fans a rare glimpse into his personal life on Sunday, August 4, when he shared a heartwarming family photo in honor of his birthday — and his sister’s. The retired NFL quarterback turned 48 and used the occasion to celebrate his sister Julie Brady, who also shares the same birthday, turning 51.

“A big Happy Birthday to the greatest sister and aunt in the world,” Brady wrote via Instagram Stories, captioning a photo that featured himself, Julie, and his three children — Jack, Vivian, and Benjamin. “Thanks for being our biggest fans and always looking out for us. We love you so much.”

Julie, often mistaken for Brady’s twin due to their close bond and shared August 3 birthday, is the second oldest of the Brady siblings.

The pair grew up in San Mateo, California, with older sisters Maureen and Nancy, raised by Tom Brady Sr. and Galynn Brady — a couple who have been married for over 50 years and still reside in the same Bay Area neighborhood where they raised their athletic brood.

It wasn’t just Tom who inherited a competitive streak. According to People, Maureen was a standout softball pitcher at Fresno State University and was later inducted into the San Mateo County Sports Hall of Fame. Julie earned a soccer scholarship after walking on at St. Mary’s College, and Nancy followed suit, receiving a softball scholarship at UC Berkeley.

In early June, Brady took a father-daughter trip to Amsterdam with his 12-year-old daughter, Vivian. The NFL legend shared a selfie from the car with the caption, “Cruising through life with my favorite co-pilot.”

Later in the summer, he headed to Japan with Vivian and 15-year-old Benjamin, where they immersed themselves in the culture — even catching a sumo match together. The family reunion continued when Jack, Brady’s 17-year-old son from his relationship with actress Bridget Moynahan, joined the group for a yacht tour around Europe.

Brady shares Vivian and Benjamin with his ex-wife, supermodel Gisele Bündchen, and maintains a strong co-parenting relationship with Moynahan for Jack.

And it wasn’t all kid-centric travel. In late June, Brady jetted to Venice, Italy, for Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s lavish wedding celebration. According to TMZ, the seven-time Super Bowl champ was spotted mingling with fellow celeb guests, including Orlando Bloom and Sydney Sweeney. “He danced with everyone,” a source said of Brady’s vibe at the star-studded reception.
