Tom Brady was the victim of a robbery that took place the morning of October 20, per TMZ. The outlet reported November 14 that a card shop in NYC owned by the mega-famous Patriots star was robbed of almost $10,000 worth of baseball and Pokémon cards. TMZ says they learned this from police.

The shop, called CardVault by Tom Brady, is located at at 244 Lafayette Street in SoHo. The report says the suspect, who was caught on camera, attempted to make a purchase before his card declined. He then exited the shop with $9,710 worth of merchandise after tricking an employing into “believing that the items were paid for.”

An ABC 7 Eyewitness News report obtained video of the suspect wearing a yellow knapsack and all-black outfit with a hoodie. They say he was somehow able to manually bypass the credit machine’s denial.

Despite the robbery, Tom Brady stayed positive, keeping up with his recent habit of posting motivational messages on his Instagram Stories.

On the morning of Sunday, November 16, he shared a shot of a quote that read, “Nobody works harder than a person who hates asking people for anything.” He emphasized the message with a “100” emoji and flexing bicep.

Before that, on November 14, he posted a note that said, “The most underrated predictor of success: How quickly you get back to baseline after both good and bad events.

The 48-year-old captioned the quote with the words “Process over outcomes.”

Around the end of October, Tom Brady shared in his newsletter that his hectic football-season schedule while working as a Fox analyst had taken a toll on him, leaving him feeling rundown. He acknowledged that even those who focus on health can experience this. Brady emphasized the importance of resilience and encouraged others to prioritize rest and hydration, according to People. He said it had been “a crazy October,” and mentioned that school was in “full swing” for his kids. He revealed “drinking a bunch of water” first thing after waking up in the morning is one of the ways he stays resilient.

After his team took the top prize in the E1 Series in Miami, Brady wrote on his Instagram, “Back to back champions of the water, and we did it the right way.
