During her work at the Gastro Pub, located in New York, Moore met many famous faces, including stars Tony Bennett and Frank Sinatra, both of whom became her regulars. “The way I heard it was, when Sinatra would come in, Tony Bennett wasn’t allowed to come in the restaurant,” chef Michael DeFonza told The New York Times.

Moore continued working in her 80s, right up to a few months before her passing. She was a beloved member of the staff, and P.J. Clarke’s announced the news of her passing on Instagram on August 16. “This evening the longest serving member of our P.J. Clarke’s family, Patricia Moore, passed away,” the statement read.

The tribute revealed that Moore had been working at the location for more than 50 years. “She counted Frank Sinatra, Buddy Holly, and Dick Clark as her regulars,” the loving tribute read. “When she was younger, she modeled for Vogue, dated Tony Bennett, hung out with Brooke Shields’ mother, Teri, and knew all of the Mad Men of her day. At PJS we love stories, and Pat had one of the best.”

The tribute also mentioned her granddaughter, Samantha, and how she had revealed they would have “a great Irish wake soon to say goodbye.” Samantha commented on the post, writing, “My Grammy loved you all so much. Thank you for this.”

The comment section has been filled with loving messages from people who knew Moore. “I worked with Pat. She loved worked there. I am sure shes in heaven having a Cadillac burger,” a comment reads. “The best! She waited on us in May, she was a rockstar and always took such good care of us. Love hearing her story! May she rest in peace,” another person shared.

“May she rest in peace. Such a beautiful post about an employee who worked for 50 years, and up until few months ago … Her family should be so proud to read this,” a third person commented.

It is clear from the comments that Moore was someone who was deeply loved.

Samantha shared a throwback photo of Moore on Instagram on August 19 to reveal details of the service and the reception, the latter of which was held at none other than P.J. Clarke’s.
