Anyone who watched one of Swift’s shows could see they were a feat of endurance. Kelce recently gave some insight into just how hard the shows were, though.</p>

<p id=”par-2_36″>Swift kicked off <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/taylor-swift-eras-tour-most-dazzling-jaw-dropping-moments-london.html/”>her Eras Tour</a> in March 2023 and continued playing shows until December 2024. Kelce said the strength and endurance required to repeatedly play shows reminded him of his job as an NFL player.</p>
<p id=”par-3_46″>“She may not think of herself as an athlete,” he told <a href=”https://www.gq.com/story/travis-kelce-september-cover-2025-interview-super-bowl-taylor-swift” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>GQ</a> in 2025. “She will never tell anyone that she is an athlete. But I’ve seen what she goes through. I’ve seen the amount of work that she puts on her body, and it’s mind-blowing.”</p>

<p id=”par-4_37″>Kelce said that part of the challenge was having to spend hours <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/taylor-swift-beyonce-share-workout-routine-impresses-professional-athletes.html/”>running around on a stage</a>. It made the experience all the more grueling because of the brutal heat coming from both above and below her.</p>
<p id=”par-5_80″>“It is a football-field-sized computer,” he said. “You take that into Singapore, where it is scorching hot, and all of a sudden you’re feeling the fumes from the computer and you’re feeling the fumes from the sun and you’re doing a show for three hours with a lot of energy, bringing it every single song. That is arguably more exhausting than how much I put in on a Sunday, and she’s doing it three, four, five days in a row.”</p>

<p id=”par-6_35″>Like Swift, Kelce’s career has him getting in front of a screaming audience on a regular basis. He enjoys leaning into the showmanship of professional sports, and he said he learned a lot from Swift.</p>
<p id=”par-7_41″>“People gravitate towards how she performs and how she makes it feel like the entire stadium is in this little room with her,” he said. “She is so good at mesmerizing everybody and making everybody feel like it’s an intimate situation.”</p>
<p id=”par-8_17″>Kelce admitted that he typically behaves differently in front of an audience. Still, he liked Swift’s calm.</p>
<p id=”par-9_73″>“Whenever I get in front of a crowd, I feel like I’ve got to be like, <em>Woooo!</em> Like, excited, bringing the energy,” he said. “Then I saw that coolness and that calmness and that relatability that she is so good at presenting. I really grabbed that. Like, <em>Man, I can use that side of entertainment as well</em>. It’s not just always being the guy that brings the energy and creates these exciting moments.”</p>
<h2 class=”wp-block-heading” id=”h-she-said-she-spent-a-lot-of-time-in-bed-recovering”>She said she spent a lot of time in bed recovering</h2>

<p id=”par-11_19″>“I knew this tour was harder than anything I’d ever done before by a long shot,” she told <a href=”https://time.com/6342806/person-of-the-year-2023-taylor-swift/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Time</a>.</p>
