Tributes Pour In After Paranormal Expert’s Sudden Passing Amid ‘Annabelle’ Doll Tour

There is considerable interest in the Annabelle doll, as it was featured in the “Conjuring” movies. As a result, paranormal expert Dan Rivera embarked on a much-talked-about tour featuring the doll with the New England Society of Psychic Research. Sadly, he has now passed away suddenly after a tour stop in Gettysburg, Penn. He was 54 years old.

According to E! News, Chris “Jeek” Gilloren, who is the lead investigator for the group, announced the news on Facebook. He said, “It’s with deep sadness that Tony, Wade, and I share the sudden passing of our close friend and partner, Dan Rivera.”

He continued, “We are heartbroken and still processing this loss.” In reflecting on Dan Rivera’s legacy, Chris said, “Dan truly believed in sharing his experiences and educating people on the paranormal. His kindness and passion touched everyone who knew him.”

Chris added, “Thank you for your support and kind thoughts during this difficult time.” Regarding his passing, authorities were called to a local Gettysburg hotel on July 13 due to a CPR in progress. Currently, the cause of death is unknown.


Enthusiasts Are Tributing the Life and Work of Dan Rivera

Dan Rivera was, and still is, a fixture in the paranormal community. As a result, many people took to social media to pay tribute to his legacy. Among The Unknown on X posted about how much his work meant and how they wished to meet him someday.

The person running the account said, “Dan Rivera has sadly passed away. I always wanted to have a chance to meet him in person and talk to him about the supernatural. He’s the man I instantly think of when it comes to Annabelle besides the Warren’s and Tony Spera. This is so unexpected.”

Someone who posts under the name Melanie on X also shared their shock. They wrote, “I’m in shock! These posts are about Dan Rivera from NESPR. Dan was part of the “Devil’s On The Run Tour” w/ the #AnnabelleDoll. He took photos of us with Annabelle & appears in a video I shared. He seemed fine when we spoke with him.”


Dan Was Also Involved In Producing Paranormal Focus TV Shows

Dan Rivera is recognized in the paranormal community, in part, for his work on television. According to Decider, he appeared on “Most Haunted Places” on the Travel Channel and also produced “28 Days Haunted.” 

Dan Rivera was born and raised in Bridgeport, Connecticut, and had been involved with the paranormal community for over a decade. However, he had been interested in the paranormal since he was young, after witnessing unexplainable events at his home.
