Two Strictly Come Dancing pros have been left ‘gutted’ after being told they’re not getting a celebrity partner this year.
Both Luba Mushtuk and Nancy Xu have been told they won’t be pairing up with anyone for the 2025 series, although they will still be on the show.
A source told The Sun: ‘Luba and Nancy were gutted not to be in a celebrity pairing and competing on the show this year.
‘They are, understandably, disappointed, but realise that not everyone is able to get a celebrity partner every year.’
Both dancers will remain on the show; they will appear in all the group numbers and be on hand to help with training and choreography.

‘Of course, the professional dancers are all expert athletes and want the best chance possible to win,’ the source added. ‘It’s in their nature, but they’re grateful for the gig.’

In other Strictly news, yesterday, The Mail Online reported that a Strictly ‘throuple’allegedly left the cast of the BBC show stunned when they announced the news during a work night out.
Supposedly, the polyamorous three, who have not been named for legal reasons, have raised eyebrows backstage over fears of what ‘middle England’ might think.
‘It all came out during a night out, people were absolutely shocked,’ the Mail reports.
‘These are people who have many friends and many connections to Strictly, and while nobody is actually doing anything wrong in the scenario, you can only imagine how it has become the talk of the show.’

The gossip is the latest in a growing list of controversies ahead of the new series, which is due to start on 20 September.
On Friday, August 22, the Metropolitan Police revealed they’d arrested a former star of Strictly Come Dancing in their 30s from East London for non-consensual intimate image abuse and suspicion of rape.
‘This is a joint investigation with Hertfordshire Constabulary, and while the investigation is in its early stages, we urge anyone with any information to come forward to us quoting 8479/22AUG,’ the police statement read.
‘The arrest follows a third-party allegation of sexual and drug-related offences. Enquiries are ongoing.’
Metro has approached the BBC for comment.
