Dispatch audio is revealing new information after the sudden passing of Tommy Lee Jones’ daughter, Victoria. The actress was found deceased in a San Francisco hotel in the early morning hours of January 1, 2026.
NBC Bay Area says they were told by “a source with direct knowledge” that “a woman believed to be 34-year-old Victoria Jones was found in a hallway of the hotel.” They say foul play is not suspected.
On January 2, TMZ reported the initial 911 call that alerted police to the incident came in as a suspected drug overdose. The outlet says they obtained Broadcastify dispatch audio that identified the nature of the call as a “code 3 for the overdose, color change.”
The outlet says they’ve reached out to a rep for Jones and received no word back.

To recap what we know about the incident, TMZ broke the news on January 1 that the “Men in Black II” actress was found deceased at the Fairmont San Francisco hotel in the early morning hours of New Year’s Day 2026. The outlet says they were told by a spokesperson for the San Francisco Fire Department that SFFD units responded to a report of a medical emergency at 2:52 a.m. and paramedics pronounced the individual dead on the scene after an assessment.
Investigations by the Medical Examiner’s Office and the San Francisco Police Department are now in progress, per the report. No cause of death has been announced.
Tommy Lee Jones Is a Father of Two
Jones was married to Kimberlea Cloughley 1981 to 1996, and the pair welcomed two children during that time. Jones son, Austin, was born in 1982, and Victoria came along in 1991, per People. The report says Austin was raised in Jones’ home state of Texas.
Austin has followed his father into showbiz, acting in films such as “The Homesman.” He has also taken an interest in composing.
Victoria has also acted in some films, most notably “Men in Black II” and “The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada.” Her father praised her acting abilities in a 2006 interview with The New Yorker. He told the magazine, “Sheâs a good actress, has her sag card, speaks impeccable Spanish. When she was a baby, I told Leticia, her nurse, to speak to her in Spanish.â
