Longtime “Wheel of Fortune” face, Vanna White, has shared her annual holiday tradition with her adult children, Nicholas “Nikko” and Giovanna Santo Pietro, and partner, John Donaldson.
“We always get around the Christmas tree and open our Christmas presents. And on Christmas Eve, we get to open one gift, and then we have to wait until Christmas Day to open the rest of them,” White told E! News.
She added, “It’s always been that way. It’s just fun.” Although White’s kids are grown, she still pretends Santa puts gifts in their stockings, which she says they get excited about.
“Christmas is special for everyone, especially for family, and I don’t care what age you are, it’s fun. And I still practice that tradition of a regular, happy Christmas,” the tile turner said.
White’s Other Christmas Tradition is a Family Trip to Hawaii
White is all about spending time with her family during Christmas, and that includes a yearly trip to Hawaii together.
While speaking with E! News, she said, “We always go to Hawaii for Christmas vacation. Itâs warm and tropical, and itâs a good way to get away from a big city.”
In December 2024, the game show icon shared an Instagram snap of her posing in front of palm trees with Donaldson, Giovanna, and Nikko.
“Beautiful family picture! Love watching you on the wheel!” a fan commented. Another wrote, “Merry Christmas to you and your family. I love the picture.”
Hawaii Has a Special Place in White’s Heart
White’s one lucky gal! Not only does she have plans to celebrate Christmas with her family in Hawaii, but she also got to go to Waikiki in April for a “Wheel of Fortune” special.
It wasn’t just all work, however. An Instagram reel shared by “Wheel of Fortune” shows her frolicking on the beach with the host, Ryan Seacrest, and attempting the hula.
White shared a behind-the-scenes look on Facebook at her getting ready for the show in the hair and makeup chair.
Her outfit of choice that day was a gorgeous floral dress in a cobalt blue shade that completely went with the backdrop of the island.
“I’m spoiled! Look at this!” she cried as an assistant sprayed sunscreen on her.
“I love my job.. but I love it even more in Hawaii! Did you all notice how quick all those outfit changes were?” White captioned her post.
Seacrest showed another of White’s looks in an Instagram post of her wearing a bright violet maxi dress.
The 68-year-old looked simply stunning with a lei around her neck and her hair in a half-up style.
