Celebrity Big Brother viewers were left raging following last week’s eviction, after realising they had accidentally voted out the wrong contestant.
Unlike the civilian season, in which viewers ‘vote to evict’ their least favourite housemate, the star-studded version of the ITV reality series has switched things up by making it ‘vote to save’ instead.
As voting opened to the general public, many did not get the memo that they had to vote for their favourite, not the person they wanted to see booted out.
This meant some had squandered their five free app votes.
‘IT WAS VOTE TO SAVE?’ geooo wrote on X.
‘Ain’t no way I just voted to save Mickey thinking I was voting to evict…….. KMS. Lesson learnt,’ mai comiserated.
‘Guys why is it vote to save and not vote to evict. I nearly spent all 5 votes on Michael,’ Brad Sell shared.

‘Did anyone else accidentally just vote to evict instead of save,’ clauds complained.
‘Just realised it was vote to save instead of vote to evict and I’ve just voted for the same person 5 times,’ Charlie echoed.
‘Why is celeb bb vote to save but normal bb is vote to evict??’ Amy asked.

And with three more housemates facing eviction tonight, viewers will need to avoid making the same mistake.
Last night the housemates nominated each other for eviction, and Jack P Shepherd, Patsy Palmer and Trisha Goddard are now facing the public vote.
EastEnders star Patsy received six nominations, while Coronation Street cast member Jack and presenter Trisha received four nominations each.
It comes after politician Michael Fabricant became the first housemate to leave Celebrity Big Brother 2025 last week.
But he isn’t the only Celebrity Big Brother housemate to leave the series so far.
On Saturday, it was revealed that Hollywood star Mickey Rourke had agreed to leave the show after a series of incidents involving inappropriate language and unacceptable behaviour.

A Celebrity Big Brother spokesperson said: ‘Mickey Rourke has agreed to leave the Celebrity Big Brother House this evening following a discussion with Big Brother regarding further use of inappropriate language and instances of unacceptable behaviour.’
The news came after Mickey sparked backlash for ‘inappropriately’ looking at and touching host AJ, and receiving an official warning over homophobic remarks.
Appearing on ITV’s This Morning on Monday, Celebrity Big Brother presenter Will Best shared that Mickey’s behaviour left the housemates feeling both ‘scared and vulnerable’.
This included using certain language towards The Only Way Is Essex star Ella Rae Wise, and ‘threatening’ comments towards Love Island star Chris Hughes.

Upon leaving the house, Rourke shared his upset and admitted he had taken things too far.
‘I stepped over the line. And I take responsibility for doing the wrong thing,’ he said. ‘Because I lost my temper, and I’ve been trying to work on it my whole life and I wish I would have had better self-control and I’m very sorry.
‘I’m ashamed of myself for losing it for a few seconds there. Nobody got touched or hurt.
‘Maybe some feelings got hurt or maybe others have feelings about others getting upset but, you know, I’m sorry about that.’
His removal has led to reports that he will no longer receive the full £500,000 fee he was reportedly being paid for the appearance.
Celebrity Big Brother continues tonight at 9pm on ITV.
