After fans of the show started sharing some nasty comments about her on social media, Olivia chimed in with a stern message for the haters. </p>

<p id=”par-3_16″>On September 3, TLC shared a video on <a href=”https://www.instagram.com/p/C_d-3h4IoZv/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Instagram</a> of <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/micah-plaths-girlfriend-veronica-peters-made-welcome-to-plathville-debut.html/”>Micah and Veronica</a> discussing their relationship. </p>
<p id=”par-4_17″>“I think we’re in real love,” Micah said. “It’s not all bliss, but we love each other.” </p>
<p id=”par-5_31″>Though Micah and Veronica seemed happy together, commenters on the post were skeptical about the relationship. Several felt the couple’s vibe was “off,” while others shared unkind comments about Veronica’s appearance. </p>
<p id=”par-6_13″>Olivia quickly chimed in to chastise people who were commenting on Veronica’s looks. </p>
<p id=”par-7_24″>“How would you feel if people talked about your daughter or your sister this way? This is a terrible look for you,” she wrote. </p>

<p id=”par-8_16″>A number of commenters speculated about Veronica’s gender identity. Olivia told them to knock it off. </p>
<p id=”par-9_14″>“Gross comment,” she wrote in response to one person. “Check your internalized misogyny please.”</p>
<p id=”par-10_52″>Veronica has also spoken up about being the target of hateful comments. On her and Micah’s joint <a href=”https://www.instagram.com/p/C_eaNeDvQMF/?hl=en&img_index=1″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Instagram</a> account, she posted several photos of herself as a child in an effort to shut down speculation about her gender. She also shared a message urging people to choose kindness and respect over cruelty.</p>
<p id=”par-11_66″>“Sharing a glimpse of my younger self to show those who try and attack me who they are making rumors about,” she wrote. “As an advocate against all forms of bullying, I stand firm in rejecting cruelty and prejudice. Everyone deserves respect and dignity — I will always fight for these principles and look forward to the day when we can all uphold these values together.”</p>

<p id=”par-12_33″>In follow-up comments on her Instagram post, Veronica said she’d been reluctant to go public with her relationship because of her insecurity. She also spoke about breaking free of unhealthy standards of beauty. </p>
<p id=”par-13_21″>“The social constructs of beauty are so toxic,” she wrote. “I agree beauty comes from everyone, but more importantly from within.”</p>
<p id=”par-14_43″>Veronica also said that despite what critics might think, <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/welcome-to-plathville-micah-new-relationship-new-olivia-ethan-plath-family.html/”>her relationship with Micah</a>, whom she has been dating for nearly three years, was genuine. Their attraction to each other was based on who they were as people, not their appearance, she added. </p>
<p id=”par-15_43″>“Micah sure is beautiful but his heart and soul is even better,” she wrote. “He pushes me to be the best version of myself daily, beyond societal beauty standards. We both love each other [for] who we are not what we look like.”</p>
<p id=”par-16_15″>Micah also took to social media to call out online bullies for attacking his girlfriend. </p>
