
Forty-six years after Ridley Scottâs original “Alien” captivated audiences, FX and Hulu are bringing the Xenomorphs planetside with “Alien: Earth.”
With a massive budget, high-stakes storytelling, and a cast led by Timothy Olyphant, “Alien: Earth” blends sci-fi adventures with the horror roots of the franchise.
Where to Watch Alien: Earth
Per IGN, “Alien: Earth” premieres Tuesday, Aug. 12, at 8 p.m. ET on FX and Hulu in the U.S., kicking off with a double-episode debut. The remaining six episodes will be released weekly on Tuesdays, leading up to the Sept. 23 finale.
Internationally, the series will stream on Disney+ starting at 8 p.m. PT (Aug. 13 for viewers in the UK and Europe). Disney+ also carries the rest of the “Alien” and “Predator” franchises, including the recent hit “Alien: Romulus.”

About the Series
According to Variety, the new series is set in 2120, two years before the original “Alien” film and 16 years after “Alien: Covenant,” the story follows the crash of the USCSS Maginot on Earth. Wendy (Sydney Chandler) and a team of soldiers make a terrifying discovery that threatens the planet.
The show is created by Noah Hawley (“Fargo”, “Legion”) and has already drawn critical praise, with one reviewer calling it âan apex of late â70s cinema in look and feelâ while expanding the “Alien” universe in new ways.
Between its double-episode premiere, weekly rollout, and a creative team determined to push the boundaries of sci-fi television, “Alien: Earth” is shaping up to be one of FXâs most daring projects yet.
