But at the 2025 Emmy Awards, the spotlight wasn’t just on Hunnam’s career—it was also on his longtime partner, Morgana McNelis.

While Hunnam has spent years leading blockbuster films, McNelis has carved out her own lane in the creative world. She launched her jewelry line, Maison de Morgana, which quickly caught attention in Hollywood—stars like Zac Efron and Troian Bellisario were spotted wearing her pieces.

Hunnam once revealed that McNelis has made jewelry for him, joking to ELLE in 2012 that she once promised a “diamond-encrusted ring.” He recalled, “She’s a jewelry designer, not an actor—and I was like, ‘Uh-oh. This is not going to go well for me.’ But I love it. It’s so discreet and beautiful.”

The couple has shared only a handful of personal moments publicly. McNelis posted a photo with Hunnam in 2019 captioned, “Happy Holi!!!” and another in 2016 at a UFC fight calling it the “best date ever.” Their first red carpet was in 2008 for a “Sons of Anarchy” screening, followed by the Critics Choice Awards in 2012.

Though Hunnam was previously married to actress Katharine Towne, he has described McNelis as his true partner. In a 2020 interview with Andy Cohen on SiriusXM, he admitted he was initially “indifferent” to marriage, later clarifying to People, “I actually didn’t mean it at all… I sort of consider myself married. I’ve been with my girlfriend for 14 years. The romance of it means an enormous amount.”

The 45-year-old actor treated fans to a rare glimpse of his private life on Sept. 14, when he and McNelis attended the Emmy Awards at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. Hunnam looked sharp in a Saint Laurent dark blue suit with a coordinating shirt, while McNelis stunned in a strapless gold gown paired with gold jewelry, black heels, and a chic bag.

The couple, who have been together for almost 20 years, shared a sweet moment on the red carpet, holding each other close as they headed into the ceremony. Inside, Hunnam stepped onstage to present the award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series.

“A great performance can help us to understand ourselves, shedding light and clarity on the corners of life that can feel dark and confusing,” Hunnam said onstage while introducing the nominees. “Through art we can transmute painful truth into something beautiful. These talented artists have all done just that.”
