Timothée Chalamet may have a shelf full of nominations and critical acclaim, but his older sister, Pauline Chalamet, is making waves in her own right. Variety confirmed on July 8th that the 33-year-old actress has officially joined the cast of Disneyâs âThe Devil Wears Prada 2â, the long-awaited sequel to the iconic 2006 film.
The film is slated to hit theaters on May 1, 2026, and Pauline is already making headlines for bagging the film and for being part of a talented sibling duo.
Inside Timothée & Pauline’s Close Bond
Born in January 1992, Pauline is the older sister of “A Complete Unknown” actor Timothée Chalamet, who was born in December 1995.
Despite their rising profiles in Hollywood, the siblings keep their bond grounded. âIt has nothing to do with either of us,â Pauline told Vanity Fair in November 2021.
âHe didnât choose that. I didnât choose him as a brother; he didnât choose me as a sister… it doesnât impact our relationship.â
She added that sheâs âin awe ofâ Timothéeâs work and revealed that heâs supported her from the very beginning: âHe has come to almost every screening of a short film Iâve written or directed or acted in.â
Pauline Grew Up Surrounded by Artists
Raised in an artist colony in New York City, Pauline grew up immersed in music, performance, and creativity. âIt was a very special place to grow up,â she said during an interview with The Ellen DeGeneres Show. âYou would be hearing singing and dancing.â
She also shared a sweet memory of her ballet days with actress Sarah Hyland, revealing: âShe taught me I could put parmesan cheese on top of pizza. I didnât know that until Sarah!â
From Political Science to Acting, with a Little Help from Greta Gerwig
According to Nylon, Pauline double-majored in political studies and theater at Bard College in New York. Timothée once revealed that Greta Gerwig played an unexpected role in shaping his sister’s unusual academic path.
âShe changed her major at college because of Greta,â Timothée once revealed at the 2018 Critics’ Choice Awards. Pauline nodded with a smile: âYeah.â
Her Acting Career Took Time, But It Paid Off

Paulineâs breakout role came in 2021 when she began portraying Kimberly on “The Sex Lives of College Girls“. She took her own sweet time to make a place in the cutthroat industry. âI did and I didnât [want to act],â she shared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. âI went about it in many different ways. I had a long path to getting where I am.â
Timothee is a fan of “The Sex Lives of College Girls”. Talking to E! News in 2022, Pauline confessed: “My brother loves it. You’ll have to get the story from him, because I believe he did watch it with one of my parents. So that is that.”
She also starred in Judd Apatowâs 2020 comedy “The King of Staten Island” and has written and directed several short films.
How Pauline is Juggling Acting & Motherhood
Outside of acting, Pauline recently entered a new chapter: motherhood. As per MirrorUK, she welcomed her first child with Rhys Raiskin in September 2024. She later shared that she confided in Mindy Kaling early in her pregnancy.
âMindy was one of the first people I told,â Pauline revealed on “The Drew Barrymore Show“. Even as both siblings rise in fame, Pauline and Timothée continue to stay grounded and focused on their respective careers.
At the heart of their rising fame is something simple and solid. It includes genuine support, quiet admiration, and the kind of sibling bond that doesnât need the spotlight to shine.
