‘Wicked’ Cast Performs Sequel To Viral Video

The cast of “Wicked: For Good” has created a sequel to the hit viral video from 2024. Like the original, this video was made as part of the promotional efforts for the film on “The Tonight Show” with Jimmy Fallon and features both Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande singing back and forth, this time with fresh lyrics and some other guests.

As part of their appearance on “The Tonight Show” as part of their promotion for “Wicked: For Good,” the cast of the film recorded a sequel to their 2024 viral hit video. This time around, though, Erivo and Grande were joined by several of their castmates.

Like the original video – which most fans of the film and anyone who has used a social media service over the last 12 months will know – the new video features the cast rapping about the plot and characters from the movie. 

Jonathan Bailey – recently crowned the Sexiest Man in America – Bowen Yang, Michelle Yeoh, Ethan Slater, and Marissa Bode all joined in on the action, while Jeff Goldblum also shows up at the end in one of the funniest moments of the entire video. 

Bailey’s character Fiyero is described as “a prince, and always game,” while Yeoh’s Madame Morrible is said to be “in charge and quite complex.” Goldblum’s character is introduced by the Wizard by Evrio, with the actor replying, “I’m that dude,” before Grande says, “more like fraud.” This prompts a response of “OK, rude” from Goldblum.

The ‘Wicked’ Cast Opens up About Close Bond

Earlier this week, Evrio and Grande opened up about how they have formed a close bond and became close friends since working on the “Wicked” film series. Speaking at a Q&A event, Evrio referenced an incident in Singapore when Grande was accosted by a man who grabbed her during a promotional event. 

“We have come through some s**t,” Erivo said. “I mean, f**k even this last week, let’s be honest.”

She continued by saying that the entire cast and crew being so close-knit is unusual. “You don’t get a group of people this close often on a set, you don’t earn family like this often,” Erivo explained.

Grande went on to agree with her co-star, describing her as a “lifelong sister,” Grande then called her friendship with Evrio “absolutely the greatest gift of my life.”
