The Underdog of the Underground battled CM Punk in a first time bout during last night’s Netflix broadcast with the winner qualifying for the Elimination Chamber in Toronto, Canada next month.
In the end, it was the Second City Saint who picked up the win after an intense match, but there was more to come for Zayn.
His longtime friend and rival Kevin Owens attacked after the bell, still furious at his former tag partner for supporting Roman Reigns in recent weeks.
He dropped Zayn with a devastating Package Piledriver, which sees the wrestler’s head dropped onto the mat and was banned for a long time in WWE.
KO has brought the move back in recent months, and the result was Zayn being stretchered out after Raw went off the air.

The broadcast ended with Owens’ attack, but fan footage shared online has revealed the dramatic aftermath.
Zayn can be seen surrounded by officials and medical personal, before being loaded onto a stretcher and helped out of the venue.
It appears to be part of a storyline, following similar instances with KO taking out Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes in recent months, but WWE is yet to share its own footage.

The two former Shield teammates were eliminated by CM Punk, with all three man embroiled in a ringside brawl as the match continued.
Paul Heyman was seen by the Tribal Chief’s side as he was helped out of the arena, and Cole has now claimed Reigns will be ‘out for the foreseeable future’.
