WWE Star Stranded in UK Ahead of “SummerSlam” – Posts Promo with Cows

Prep for “SummerSlam” is looking a little… rural for Drew McIntyre. The WWE Superstar posted a video on X (formerly Twitter) revealing he’s currently stranded in the English countryside (yes, with cows) after being blocked from boarding his flight back to the U.S. just days before WWE’s biggest summer event.

“Why am I stranded? Why am I cutting a promo with cows?” McIntyre captioned the clip (seen below). “There’s now a good chance I don’t make #SummerSlam.”

The Post That Has Everyone Talking

In the video, the Scottish Warrior gives fans a play-by-play with his signature deadpan delivery: “It’s quite the week I’ve had. You want to know how it’s been capped off? I can’t get back in America, they wouldn’t let me board my flight.” Then, as if proving his location, he pans to the rolling green hills and says, “Does that look like an American scenic countryside? No!”

According to McIntyre, he was in England attending a friend’s wedding, saying “What a wedding it was,” and planned to return home to train for “SummerSlam.” But apparently, travel had other plans. “No, no, no. I got blocked,” he added, clearly annoyed but staying on-brand with some self-aware humor.

Calling Out His Opponent

The timing couldn’t be worse. Drew McIntyre is currently booked for a high-profile tag team match at “SummerSlam” on August 3, 2025 where he’s set to team up with Logan Paul against Randy Orton and Jelly Roll.

Yep, that Jelly Roll. Check out his previous WWE appearance, which sparked major buzz after he showed up on “SmackDown,” got the crowd fired up, and proved he’s more than just a musical guest.

This travel nightmare is now threatening to throw a serious wrench in WWE’s plans; and possibly rob fans of one of the most buzzed-about bouts on the card.

Stuck overseas with nothing but a field and a few cows, McIntyre did what any good WWE star would do; he cut a promo. “Jelly Roll! You know somebody? You got some connections? You got your 15 minutes of fame right now?” he joked, shouting out his “SummerSlam” opponent in true hype-man fashion.

The Fans Had A Lot To Say

Fans quickly rallied in the comments; and they were wildly entertained. “What are the cows names Drew,” one person asked. Another added, “Hey Drew, don’t have a… cowniption… you’ll get to New Jersey in time to kick Jelly Roll’s ass!”

Someone else called it like it is: “Promo with cows? It’s a complete Cowtastrophe 🐮.” And one fan held out hope for a surprise twist, writing, “Nothing better than a solid surprise entrance @DMcIntyreWWE,” while another just declared, “Aayyyyooooo This dude is a menace 😂😂😂😂😂😂.”

No official word yet from the company on how (or if) they’ll resolve McIntyre’s travel issue, but let’s be real… if anyone can Claymore-kick his way onto a last-minute flight, it’s Drew. Here’s hoping he and his bags make it to Jersey in one piece.
