Jey Uso would love to face Motor City Machine Guns in a WWE ring.

The highly influential tag team made their WWE debut on SmackDown after decades building their reputation in TNA Wrestling and around the world, with fans constantly coming up with dream matches for Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin.

Speaking exclusively to Metro.co.uk before MCMG arrived, Hey said: ‘I would like to – and if I did go with the Motor City Machine Guns. I would like, I would like for my brother to do [it with me].’

On screen, The Usos are yet to reunite with Jey uncertain about joining Jimmy and Roman Reigns after the history of The Bloodline over the last few years.

However, the Intercontinental Champion has still described himself and his twin brother as ‘the best tag team in the world’.

‘I would like to do it with Jimmy because I feel like with Jimmy -Sami [Zayn] is easy too, but I feel like with Jimmy, man, we are the best tag team in the world,’ he added.

If The Usos were to get back together, Jey would love to see them tear it up against MCMG and AEW duo Lucha Bros, who have also been linked with a move to WWE in the future.

‘We’ve done everything,’ he admitted. ‘But I feel like if we did have a comeback, man, I would like to run with those guys [Shelley and Sabin], a couple guys from NXT, maybe the Lucha Bros. But they gotta walk through this door.’

Motor City Machine Guns did exactly that on Friday night, making their debut in a Triple Threat match against A-Town Down Under (Austin Theory & Grayson Waller) and Los Garza (Angel & Berto).

WWE’s newest signings made quite the impression, showing off their rapid fire offence as they immediately endeared themselves to SmackDown fans.

They secured the win with a slick neckbreaker/top rope splash combo, setting up a Number One Contenders match with #DIY duo Johnny Gargano and Tomasso Ciampa.

In an unexpected move, their signing was actually announced hours before SmackDown went on air in a backstage segment with general manager Nick Aldis, who they know well from their time in TNA.

Sharing the video on X, Triple H hailed the duo as ‘one of the most influential tag teams’ in the world.

‘Motor City Machine Guns are one of the most influential tag teams in professional wrestling today… and they’re officially coming to Friday nights,’ he wrote.

‘Welcome to @WWE, @AlexShelley313 & @SuperChrisSabin. #SmackDown’

WWE SmackDown airs Friday nights at 1am on TNT Sports 1.
