Zendaya’s legendary stylist Law Roach announces exciting London event for his biggest fans

Law Roach is more than just the man behind Zendaya’s iconic red carpet looks: he has almost single-handedly redefined what it means to be a celebrity stylist.

Roach fittingly calls himself an ‘image architect’ as he does so much more than dress his clients. Instead, he revolutionizes the image of each star he works with while simultaneously making them feel as authentically themselves as possible.

The artist has worked with everyone from Celine Dion, Tom Holland, and Kerry Washington, to Anya Taylor-Joy, Ariana Grande, Megan Thee Stallion, and Naomi Banks.

But it’s his work with Zendaya that truly launched his career, and the Dune actress may have just as much for which to thank Roach – her flawless fashion was a major factor in her meteoric rise to fame.

Early in her career, no one could stop talking about her daring ensembles, even when bigger stars were on the carpet. That buzz soon grew so deafening that she began to land bigger and bigger roles.

The pair met serendipitously in LA when Zendaya was only 14 and have worked together ever since.

After taking the teen shopping for an outfit for Justin Bieber’s Never Say Never premiere, a creative partnership was born that would later raise the bar for red-carpet looks for the entire industry.

Now, partnering with CÎROC Ultra-Premium Vodka as the brand transforms The Standard, London into a wonderland for fashion lovers, Roach is offering fans the opportunity to enter into the inner chambers of his creative genius.

Coinciding with Fashion Week in London, Roach is teaming up with the vodka company, luxury brand KNWLS, and talent incubator Fashion East to create Résidence CÎROC, a three-day event (September 14-17) to celebrate the talented visionaries who are redefining what it means to be bold.

The third day of the takeover will celebrate a landmark event in fashion history: The release of Roach’s debut book, titled How to Build a Fashion Icon.

Over the three days, each room at the Résidence will feature a signed copy of How to Build a Fashion Icon two weeks before its official release date.

On the third day, Roach will host a private book reading and Q&A, open to both residents and non-residents through a competition on CÎROC’S Instagram page.

Speaking on the opportunity to share the special moment with some of his fans through the competition, Roach said: ‘My first book, How to Build a Fashion Icon, is all about the key ingredient of style for me: confidence.

How do I attend Résidence CÎROC?

Full details on the Résidence CÎROC experiences, open to adults over 18 and based in the United Kingdom, are available here. Or check out @cirocvodka on Instagram for updates on the complimentary stays.

‘Celebrating at Résidence CÎROC was a great fit as the brand and the installation is all about that – bold style is nothing without the confidence to carry it.’

And making women feel as confident as possible is what Roach is all about.

He told The Guardian in an interview: ‘I do what I do because I love women, and playing a part in making them feel beautiful. When a client gets dressed, there’s this new walk, this new persona that she takes on. When I see that, it drives me crazy. It’s like my drug.’

Roach’s story is uncommon in the fashion industry. Many successful stylists, to sustain themselves through long and unpaid fashion internships, come from privileged backgrounds.

In contrast, Roach was raised as the eldest of five and had very little handed to him. He said of his upbringing: ‘I didn’t have the most stable family dynamic, so I figured out early on that I had to make my own way.’

His unorthodox route to success makes his perspective all the more valuable, and his book is unmissable for anyone interested in celebrity or fashion.
