Police on Friday, Oct. 31, were looking for the driver who the night before fled after fatally hitting a woman and severely injuring a man crossing a Sylmar street.
The 46-year-old woman died at the scene, police said. The medical examiner’s office had not yet publicly identified her.
The 40-year-old man was hospitalized.
The two were walking across Foothill Boulevard, north of Kagel Canyon Street, around 10:35 p.m., when a red, two-door 2005 Honda Accord Coupe heading north struck them, police said in a statement.
The driver did not stop.
It wasn’t clear if the two victims were related.
