One person died and another was injured in a two-vehicle crash early Tuesday on Interstate 88 near west suburban Lisle.
State troopers responded to the westbound lanes of I-88 near Illinois 53 (Lincoln Avenue) around 4:50 a.m. for the wreck, Illinois state police said.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene and another was taken to an area hospital with unspecified injuries, state police said.
All westbound lanes on I-88 were reopened around 8:10 a.m., officials said.
No further information was immediately available.
