1 dead, 4 injured in northwest Denver crashes overnight

One person died and four others were injured overnight in three northwest Denver crashes, according to the police department.

The Denver Police Department first posted about the fatal crash near West 42nd Street and Federal Boulevard at 3:14 a.m. Sunday. The single-car crash in Denver’s Berkeley neighborhood killed one person at the scene and sent another to the hospital, police said.

Another single-car crash happened about 4 miles away at West 48th Avenue and Wadsworth Boulevard, according to a 3:16 a.m. post from the police department.

That intersection is just outside Denver, on the northwest side of the city.

Paramedics took two people to the hospital, at least one with serious injuries, police said.

Earlier that night, about a mile north of the first crash, a third incident in Denver’s Regis neighborhood injured at least one person, police said at 9:54 p.m. Saturday.

Police said the crash near West 51st Avenue and Federal Boulevard involved one car and a pedestrian.

No additional information, including the cause of any of the crashes, was available Sunday morning.
