1 dead in fatal Aurora hit-and-run that shut down I-225

At least one person is dead Monday morning after a fatal hit-and-run on Interstate 225 involving a motorcycle, police said.

Motorcyclist killed in U.S. 36 crash in Broomfield

Northbound I-225 was shut down for more than three hours Monday morning between East Colfax Avenue and 6th Avenue for the crash investigation and clean-up, according to the Aurora Police Department.

The interstate shut down around 12:54 a.m. and reopened around 4:19 a.m., police said.

Information about the number of vehicles involved and any other injuries was not available Monday morning.
