Two teens were wounded in a shooting Thursday morning in the South Shore neighborhood.
The 18-year-old and 15-year-old were walking in the 7400 block of South Yates Boulevard about 11:15 a.m. Thursday when a gray sedan approached and someone inside opened fire and struck them both, Chicago police said.
The 18-year-old was shot in the right leg and hand and he was taken in fair condition to the University of Chicago Medical Center, police said.
The 15-year-old was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital with a gunshot wound to the hip, police said. Her injuries were not considered life-threatening, Chicago Fire Department officials said.

The sedan fled west on 74th Street, police said.
Drivers passing the scene slowed down and stared around three squad cars in front of an apartment building, where several shell casings sat on the ground inches from the curb. A blue, red and black backpack rested on one of the squad cars.
