A 15-year-old boy was taken to a hospital in fair condition after accidentally shooting himself in the arm early Friday in Chicago Lawn on the Southwest Side.
Around 1:45 a.m., the teen was in the 7100 block of South Kedzie Avenue when he was handling a handgun and accidentally fired a shot, Chicago police said.
He was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn with a gunshot wound to his left forearm, police said. He was listed in fair condition.
No arrests were made and Area 1 detectives are investigating.
