16-year-old girl seriously wounded in South Loop stabbing

Police are looking for the attacker who stabbed a 16-year-old girl, seriously injuring her during an argument in the South Loop Tuesday night.

Around 9:50 p.m., the girl was arguing with someone in the 1100 block of South State Street when she was stabbed multiple times in the body, Chicago police said.

She was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital where she was in serious condition, police said.

No one was in custody.

Area 3 detectives are investigating.
