A vehicle flipped early Thursday on the inbound Bishop Ford Expressway, leaving two people dead and three hurt on the Far South Side.
The accident happened around 1:15 a.m. near 111th Street, Illinois State Police said. Two occupants of the vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene, and three others were hospitalized with injuries.
All northbound lanes were still shut down, and traffic was diverted at 115th Street, state police said.
